Happy Easter Everyone! This easter has been lovely and I’ve had some really nice gigs. We kicked off the weekend for the Jockey Club at Haydock Racecourse priding stage shows throughout the day featuring Johnny and myself and as much danger, daredevil stunts, contortion and magic as we could squeeze in. “How do you say it?” ... “Yggdrasil” The most commonly asked phrase of the weekend. We performed at the ICE casino convention for Yggdrasil- a gaming company with a circus themed game platform. The convention stand was amazing, just like a huge circus complete with lions cage, strong man high striker and popcorn machine. Of course our aim was to attract people to the stand and to encourage them to play the game, we were on site all day, providing snake charming, bounce stilts
So January is usually a quiet time featuring the tax return and some well needed rest time. It seems 2019 had other ideas! We kicked off the new year with an awesome full circus show at the stunning Wycombe Abbey. We performed an hour long show twice to the girls at school, firstly to the juniors, then the seniors. We saw in the New Year in classic performer style driving up the M5 from Cardiff after a crazy busy and fun night at Demiros restaurant. The staff were lovely and we were well taken care of giving them some showgirl and ringmaster meet and greet was guests arrived for the evening and a floor show or danger and sideshow classics after dinner before their amazing singing team produced a dance and song show to the entire Greatest Showman Soundtrack! This year I had one of the loveliest Christmas contracts ever. I was lucky enough to perform at the Barton Grange Hotel Christmas parties with a wonderful team of people. We provided walkabout photo opportunity entertainment before the dinner and then short performances between the courses. I was performing my box on a table which they customised for me to raise me off the ground, performing higher up was strange at first but after a few dress runs I had gotten used to it and
Well the summer has been a whirlwind, 6 flights to 6 different countries in under two months! Time for some UK events and some more personal levels of planning!
